Curington Elementary School, a school in Boerne Independent School District, ranked first out of 100 San Antonio-area elementary schools, according to a new ranking put out by education analyst group Niche.
All five of Boerne ISD’s elementary schools made the top eight, as did two of the middle schools.
According to Niche’s rating system a high ranking indicates that “the district contains great schools with exceptional teachers, sufficient resources, and a diverse set of high-achieving students who rate their experiences very highly.”
“We are very proud of the academic performance and the culture of caring on all our campuses,” said BISD Superintendent David Stelmazewski. “[Our staff] work hard day in and day out to do what is best…for the children.”
While the schools mentioned above top the list, there are many more great schools in Boerne — including two public high schools and phenomenal private schools for children of all ages (Geneva School of Boerne, Hill Country Montessori, and Ambleside, to name a few).
Congratulations to BISD and its faculty and staff for all they do to enrich our children and better prepare them for whatever lies ahead!
