Meet Kenzy Sharp: My Internship At Authentic Custom Homes

Summer is always a busy time for us. We are finishing custom homes as new projects begin. At Authentic Custom Homes, we are committed to our involvement in the community and love opportunities to collaborate, which is why hosting a summer intern is always a rewarding experience. During her time at ACH, intern Kenzy Sharp learned about the custom home building process and advanced her education through hands-on experience. Here’s what she had to say about her summer internship with our company:

My name is Kenzy Sharp, and I am a sophomore at Schreiner University pursuing a degree in marketing and minor in finance. I have the ambition to be a real estate broker and later a commercial real estate agent. At the end of the school year, an organization at Schreiner gave me the opportunity to gain a scholarship if I completed a 60-hour internship during the summer. While researching internship opportunities related to real estate and marketing in Boerne, I read great reviews on Authentic Custom Homes. Founder Israel Pena serves on the Board of Schreiner University, so I reached out to his Operations Manager Adrianne Carnes and asked for the opportunity to intern for Authentic Custom Homes.

Throughout the internship, I observed the professionalism of the staff of Authentic Custom Homes and their focus on superior customer service. They offer unique home designs that reflect Israel’s recognizable, authentic style. I had the pleasure of working with some wonderful men and women. A great deal of work goes into designing a home, but ACH makes it simple and exciting. Adrianne is a relatable, joyful woman who makes clients feel at home and ensures that their dream home is built to surpass expectations. Sally is a humble, kind-hearted woman who does a little of everything, from working with project managers and designers to construction, ensuring projects are completed seamlessly. Kim is a cheerful person who greets everyone with a bright “Hello” as soon as you walk in the door. She answers any questions and makes you feel welcome.

I am so grateful my path led me to work with these dedicated people. I look forward to staying in touch with all of them!
